To promote literacy in the city, The Crown City Rollerz teamed up with the Cortland Free Library in the month of June. In addition to a children’s story time, members of CCR’s Royal Pains hosted a roller derby demonstration in the parking lot of the Cortland Free Library this week! Our girls, decked out in full safety gear, went through an abbreviated warm-up and shortened version of a regular bout. Children and adults were invited to watch and got a chance to meet the Rollerz after the demonstration. A few lucky fans even got signed posters from our very own poster girls!
